Canadian Friends of Finland - what we do.

Learn about Finnish culture through our regular film showings, music gatherings, poetry readings and our informative newsletter.

Many of our members have direct ethnic links with Finland but we also have members who enjoy a cultural exchange between Finland and Canada.

CFF Vancouver co-operates with other Canadian and Finnish organizations in pulling together cultural events in the field arts, literature, music, film education and and more all in an effort to promote a network of contacts among Canadians interested in Finland.

Canadian Friends of Finland, Vancouver was incorporated provincially as a non-profit society aiming to promote cultural, scientific and academic exchanges between Canada and Finland on October 22, 1993. This society is affiliated with Canadian Friends of Finland in Toronto and Ottawa. The membership started much earlier as the first entries in the membership list were 28.6.89. Those members included Irene McCutcheon, Henry Lahti, Kaija and Erkki Rautiainen, Erkki and Pirkko Mustonen and Steve and Beth Rooney. The five applicants for incorporatins were Mabel Eastwood, Henry Lahti, Osmo Lahti, Irene McCutcheon and Glenn Niemela.
