Canadian Friends of Finland and Runeberg Lodge 124 invite you to join the Runeberg Study Group in an informal English language, small group discussion about some of the poetry & other works of Johan Ludvig Runeberg, Finland’s National Poet.
The national poet of Finland wrote in Swedish and exercised a great influence on Swedish literature. Runeberg's poetry has been compared to that of the great European romantics, such as Hugo, Shelley, Keats, Lermontov and Petöfi.
