Haarautuvan rakkauden talo (The House of Branching Love)

A Mika Kaurismäki Comedy (2009)

In truth, a black comedy that takes place in summertime in a once tranquil house by a Finnish lake that two successful professionals are still forced to share until an amicable divorce is finalized.  When one breaks the agreed rules, it sets a roller coaster of hurts and retribution going.  The house becomes crowded with a cast of strange characters, and the resulting craziness almost goes over the top with some cringe-worthy moments which all add to the mayhem.  It becomes Divorce – Finnish Style.  Relationships gone bad are not pretty.

Don’t expect anything too deep. Just enjoy the laughs!
