Helsinki, Forever is a portrait and city symphony
of the White City of the North. It is a
montage film on the City of Helsinki by the award-winning Finnish film director
Peter von Baugh. The film is a portrait
of Helsinki and its “soul”, as well as an essay on Finnish culture in
general. Its collage of best Finnish
film, fiction and documentary alike over a hundred years, produces a dazzlingly
original film in its own right.

celebration of song, recorded music, slides and an oral presentation. Learn
about Sibelius’s life. He worked to usher in the Golden Age of classical music
in Finland. His creative genius endowed Finns with a sense of pride in their
heritage and encouraged their hopes for the possibilities of nationhood. Join
our celebration of the 150th anniversary of Sibelius’s birth and receive an
overview of his undeniably influential life.
